Support Program to Integration Research Projects in the Field of Biosensors

NanoQuébec and two of its Canadian partners are launching a collaborative support program to fund research projects addressing targeted issues in health detection and diagnostics using biosensors and comprising a significant nanoscience and nanotechnology component.

The objective of this program is to help the emergence of nanotechnologies in the field of biosensors related, for example, to the detection of biological pathogen agents or toxic chemicals and/or diagnostics and in situ health monitoring (human, animal or environmental).

The program envelope is at least 1,500,000$ and no more than 2,000,000$.

Apart from NanoQuébec, financial partners that shown interest in this initiative are:

- Canadian Space Agency
- Canadian Institute for Photonic Innovations (CIPI)

- Letter of Intent: June 20th 2008
- Detailed Submission : October 1st 2008
- Selected Projects: November 2008
